Maximise your fishing with 8-hours!

Private full-day fishing charters can be customised to suit the client's needs. Whole boat bookings allow guests to target a specific fish type or a fishing style. (not an option on shared fishing charters) Choose from bottom fishing for reef fish, like small/large-mouth nannygai, coral trout, red emperor, grassy emperor, Indonesian snapper, fingermark, cobia and a variety of sweetlip/cod. Or you can troll for pelagic fish like Spanish mackerel, spotted mackerel & longtail tuna using lures, dead baits, skirts & hard body lures. A mixture of both styles of fishing is very popular.

If someone gets seasick, we can alter the fishing programme & fish in the lee of the islands for the guest's best comfort. (not an option on shared charters) These charters are very popular for small groups or those wanting to spoil themselves with an exclusive experience. They are also an excellent option for sports/game fishing. 

Full-day private charters are the best option for sports/game fishing & our captain is happy to discuss the best fishing that week at the briefing. Generally, travel time to the fishing grounds is 45 minutes to an hour. With weather permitting, full-day charters venture further out East to more remote fishing grounds away from the Whitsunday Islands. *** Note: The Great Barrier Reef system is two-plus hours away and unsuitable for an 8-hour charter. (5 hours travel time & 3 hours fishing) If you want to fish the GBR system, our multi-day liveaboard fishing charters are the best choice to maximise your fishing time. Sorry, no mainland pickups. 

Inclusions:

• Whole boat booking – Up to a maximum of 10 guests.
• Departs at 8 am & returns at 4 pm from Hamilton Island Marina, D Arm.
• Bait and high-quality Shimano tackle supplied.
• Your choice of trolling or reef fishing. (doing both is a prevalent choice)
• Professionally crewed by local guides.
  
• Catering provided - morning tea, lunch & afternoon tea.
• Toilet onboard.
• Take home your catch to your island accommodation.
  
• It is highly recommended! BYO your Topnotch Catch Of The Day to one of the island's restaurants for the chefs to prepare for your dinner.
